Roy Crawford Rotomolding Education and Development Foundation
Current Impact
The Roy Crawford Rotomolding Education and Development Foundation (REDF) is making real progress toward a stronger future for the industry. It has produced the In-Mold Rotomolding DVD with the ARM Education Committee, developed the curriculum for ARM’s Operator Training Certificate series, and awarded scholarships to high school seniors whose parents work in the industry.
REDF also funds forward-looking research. With support from the Crawford Foundation, we awarded $20,000 to Université Laval for work on recycling crosslinked polyethylene—results are due in 2025. Another $12,500 supported Dr. Nick Henwood’s development of a new family of rotomolding materials, with findings to be presented in an upcoming webinar.
Why It Matters
The Foundation was established in 2012 as an independent charitable organization to promote the long-term viability and growth of the rotomolding industry. We invest in education, workforce development, and materials research to expand the process into new markets and applications.
Our mission includes four pillars: providing scholarships, promoting rotomolding as a career, funding training programs, and supporting applied research that drives innovation.
